Thought I’ll give some feedback on our E-Logger Project (GPS electronic logbook) seeing that you guys had a hand in the start-up process earlier. Firstly, I am thankful for the support you gave me when I needed help with the business plan at the end of 2009. It was an important requirement at that stage when we started to put things in place for the launch. I appreciate your input and the work done. The business plan helped secure production finance and get the project running. Saying this, I know feedback always help in building relationships and we all need positive information in the business environment, which can be hard and cold. We have released the E-Logger product into the market during March 2010; the first 500 users in the market are giving us very good feedback on the technical performance of the units as well as the added advantages it brings to the individuals and their businesses.
Our production facility in Taiwan has increased volume now and we received the next 4 000 units through customs last week. We already placed the next order for 5 000 units because of the demand and requests we receive from the market. Word of mouth is starting to create a positive problem for us, which we will gladly solve by adding the extra effort. We already upgraded our software to such an extent that the logbook data now includes exact addresses of end location and our data conforms to all SARS requirements for vehicle logbooks. We are extending our dealer network countrywide after mostly concentrating on Gauteng during the first few months.
The Cape Town and Durban areas are starting to move and we are very excited about the growth possibilities. Agreements to continually access the GIS street address database through our software are in place giving E-Logger an added advantage over and above the excellent performance we already get from our GPS logbook units. Trust you will see yourselves as having being part of the success of starting this project which is now running.
